My 10-year-old daughter is standing on the beach overlooking the Sea of Cortez near the town of Cabo San Lucas. On the horizon is a lone sailboat. We caught the light at a great time of day giving great contrast to the colors of the water. I love the feeling and message of this composition; she stands there with the whole world in front of her. The weather is warm and the sea is calm and she has plenty of time to consider her immediate and her far-away future.
