This photo was taken about 30 seconds before we got kicked out of the Grand Ave. parking lot in Los Angeles. It was our first time experimenting with smoke grenade photography and I was shooting on a manual lens too, which didn’t make it so easy. Out of the hundreds of photos, this one was the one where everything aligned - the focus, the composition and even my friend’s expression (she was closing her eyes because otherwise the smoke would sting but that made the photo much better in my opinion).
