Toward the west it breaks off with a broad, steep flank into the Pfunderer valley, on the south side are the pre-summits of the Altberg (2385 m) and the settlement terrace of Terenten in front of it. On the east side the mountain range is bounded by the short Terner valley (also Terentental).
