I was helping my brother chop big logs into smaller manageable pieces to be stored away. When moving to get the next log I would strike the log in the picture to act as a holder for my axe and on this particular strike it split in two and I thought this would make a great opportunity to capture the moment. What a photo it turned out to be! captured the fine details in the wood.
