There was an event held in school accommodating our lumad (native) brothers and sisters because they were forced to evacuate their lands because of government and military oppression. In the Philippines, they are regarded as terrorist and working against the government when in reality they just want to have their lands and peaceful life back. When they shared their stories about their struggles, it touched me. I took this photo during the immersion activity where some students sat down and made accessories with them in order to for them to raise funds.
