A massive Delta-IV Heavy rocket from United Launch Alliance thunders to life carrying the Parker Solar Probe on a seven-year mission to study the solar corona. The Delta-IV is the most powerful rocket flying today, with three rocket cores bolted together. Once Parker gets a gravity assist from Venus and heads to the Sun, the gravity of the Sun will accelerate Parker to 430,000 Miles Per Hour, the fastest speed for any human-made object. There is an alligator who lives in the retention pond, although it is not visible in the photo. Shot with a sound-activated remote camera.
