From time to time, I see some weird stuff in the woods: a doll jammed into a tree crotch, knitted sweaters for fully grown trees, stuffed animals meant to fool photographers, and the like. Once in a while, near Christmastime, I’ll see a lone ornament decorating a tree off the beaten path.
