This peaceful inlet is in a little-known area of Jefferson County, Washington. The bay is on the southern shore of the Strait of Wanda Fuca (a narrow east-west passage only 16 miles long). It is crowded with water fowl and is largely undisturbed. This slender body of saltwater separates the US from Canada and is considered a glacially carved fjord. Native inhabitants were from the S'Klallam and Chimacum Indian nations.
