One of the reasons why I go camping is because something unexpected always happens, and with minimal amenities at your disposal, you are forced to adapt and find a way to enjoy your experience. This night, it was an unexpected storm blowing into the valley. My girlfriend and I positioned the car to block the wind, and made a big fire to keep us warm. Stoking the fire, we noticed the wind was blowing embers across the ground inviting us to take a unique long exposure image. This photo is the result of making the best out of a bad situation, and a reminder of why I love camping.
