After a challenging hike up to Matind that day (challenging, because we got soaked to the bones on our way down), we warmed up at the fire and dried our clothes, before we headed back out into the rain. The Aurora forecast was low (KP 2), but the weather was supposed to clear up a little. We spend half an hour waiting in the “shadow” of the lighthouse, where the wind and rain didn’t reach us. All of a sudden, the first green streak became visible through the clouds and then it happened very quickly: The clouds ripped open and this display became visible, turning the night into day.
