The weather turned from deep freeze to just over freezing and the rain came down, creating a skating rink on the frozen ground, deck and driveway. I looked out and saw the sweet olives in the garden, their waxy leaves being thick enough to support icicles of freezing rain for a once-in-a-lifetime picture.
