I was at Shishi-ji temple in Ōsu in Nagoya, Japan and thought it interesting that this Buddhist statue was almost in front of the Shinto gate (tōrī) of the Shinto Shrine next to it. In Japan, it is common for Buddhist temples to have a small Shinto Shrine next to it and vice versa.
