The Qutb Minar, also spelled Qutub Minar or Qutab Minar, is a minaret and "victory tower" located within the Qutb complex, situated at the historical site of Delhi's oldest fortified city, Lal Kot, founded by the Tomar Rajputs. It holds the prestigious UNESCO World Heritage Site status and can be found in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi, India. This iconic structure is a popular tourist attraction in the city and was mainly built between 1199 and 1220.
