This shot was taken inside of Kaneana Cave in Hawaii. Weaved some steel wool into a whisk, tied it to the end of a camera strap, lit it on fire, then swung it around. We played with different shapes and angles, but I think this one came out the best. My favorite part of this photo is how you can see the person’s legs in the middle of the ball. It’s almost like he’s stuck inside of this spherical cage.
