I drive past this every day on my way to work, and there are a few days each late fall when Shawnee Peak is making snow, and it’s really cold (5 degrees below zero on this morning), but Moose Pond isn’t quite frozen yet. During those few days you can get this shot. I set my camera on a tripod and had it take a series of shots at set intervals while I sat in the car with the heater blasting and sipped coffee. Then I merged several layers in Photoshop to get a nice exposure blend.
