Finding new ways

When I work on something, sometimes the worst thing I can do is repeat what I’ve done before. When I experiment I actually create something great. That’s what this photo came from - experimenting. This is a heavily light polluted area. Cities all around in every direction. Not big ones but just enough to mess up your shot of the milky way. In trying out a spot, I stumped upon this gem. The mountains block your view of the cities and if you wait long enough for the cars to stop driving by, you can get a pretty good shot of the milky way. Just needed to experiment a little.
