Not a photographer by trade, I carried just an iPad/phone to Rome. My college days developing black & whites where many decades behind me. But, a desire to capture the beautiful, amazing moments we breath and live never dies if you’ve ever head a manual SLR Nikon within the grasp of both hands. Knowing my way around all things beginning with “i” - getting a great shot was easy, being 15 feet from the man, the Pope, that was divine, out of my control and, well, just an awe-inspiring, breath-taking moment. My last day in Rome, last day in Italy, ended with a personal postcard of Pope Francis.
