I visited South Korea in 2014. It was, and still is, the furthest I’ve travelled. People are often surprised to hear that my travel companion was someone I’d never met before, although we had shared a friendship for several years online through gaming. Up until the morning of the flight I wasn’t sure if he would actually turn up and was preparing to go on this trip alone, however thankfully we managed to connect in Istanbul airport. What followed was the best trip of my life and I came back a different, and better, person. Korea is forever in my heart, and I urge others to experience it.
