We had just entered the Kala Ghoda Festival, it was 7:30pm in the evening in Mumbai. It was the first weekend of the festival, and it felt like we had entered a sea of people. We were looking to get a birdhouse and we saw this tree right at the entrance of the festival. The photo makes me feel hopeful, in a city that never sleeps, pretty lights make you feel alive and hopeful. The tree in this photo makes me want to pause, and just gaze.
