I took this photo from the roof of a friend’s apartment in Chinatown. A mutual friend was in town and we’re both photography hobbyists, and I knew the view from this rooftop was breathtaking. We were comparing camera functionality between my Canon and his Nikon and lamenting a key missing feature from my SL1—remote control. It can be difficult taking long-exposure shots with no remote, and I wasn’t thrilled with the 30 second timer cap on my SL1. All things considered, this “test shot” came out pretty well.
