group of elephant walking on brown dirt during daytime

Elephants drinking at the waterhole in front of Machaba Safari's family-friendly Verney’s Camp in Hwange, Zimbabwe. Sustainability This sustainable eco camp has a very minimal impact and environmental footprint. Camp electricity is a hybrid of solar energy and a back-up generator - with low energy consuming appliances and light bulbs throughout. There are also no permanent buildings or fixtures - so the campsite can be removed at any time and the bush can be rehabilitated in 1.5 years. Separate Bio Plants manage kitchen, laundry and staff village solids.
