Hungry eyes

I took this shot on the streets of Varanasi, India - near to one of the bigger temples which is full of tourists. It was a spontaneous shot, because in most cases when begging children came near to me as a wealthy, western tourist who could lose so many things - I tried to run away - as if I was programmed. But, these two souls made me stop immediately. I looked at them as they looked at me. I took my camera and made 3 or 4 pictures. This gave me an infinite memory of the expression in their eyes. Since that I “stopped” always.
