Dad's sunflower. My husband Al grew this from seed in our back garden. Not all were successful, but those plants which survived were beautiful. I took a closeup to be really immersed in the colour and the pattern of the plant. I love the strong vibrancy of living things. Sunflowers remind me of holidays driving through French countryside from England to uncle Louis' flat in Vence. This was in the days before we rushed down motorways. So we travelled along the back roads and took our time stopping overnight in small towns and villages. We would drive along and see a field of sunflowers. Wow!
