This is the view from a walking path near home in Vietnam. It takes my wife and I twenty minutes to reach it by foot and, when the weather permits, the view can be quite nice. Son La is a quiet place. There is no movie theater here, no airport, no central shopping malls or grocery stores, and no high-grade hospitals. But it’s a quiet, peaceful place, where stress goes to die and days slow down.
