Beauty in the Details

The bright blue-purple of clematis petals is unmistakable, but I was surprised by the detail in the flower’s center. Frosted, charcoal-grey anthers end in a surprisingly deep magenta, which then delicately fades into a crystal white. The flower’s true beauty has to be appreciated up close.
