This was taken in Astoria , Oregon. The bridge spans the Columbia River and is tall so ocean going freighters can go under it. The pilings are the remnants of an old ? warehouse/dock. I don’t know what the machinery was for. Just as I pushed the shutter, the seagull came swooping into the picture which added to the picture.
