This photo was taken for a redesign I did of the album cover to “22, a Million” by Bon Iver. The image is meant to convey the duplicity of emotions that Justin Vernon suggests in the album. The pain, confusion, and searching shown throughout the album is masked by the autotune that he uses, and leaves any remnants of humanity in its dust. This image was an attempt to recognize the hopeless searching and lack of humanity, and his search of deeper meaning to life.
