Ever since I was young, I had always wanted to visit California. Growing up in the hood, poor, and on the East Coast really made it hard (but not impossible). It wasn’t until I was in my mid-20’s that I finally got to cross “visit California” off my bucket list. The person in this photo is my sister in law who took me under her wing and showed me around. I’ll always remember that day and her kindness. This photo reminds me that I still have many more places to see and more memories to capture.
