This is a photo of Romy on Gigi, in their second year together. Given horses are long, I typically take photos landscape but thought I could get away with the portrait frame given the angle. Romy and Gigi were sliding into a turn around a pole after galloping down the arena full speed. They are both fearless and one of my favorite pairs to photograph. I used a basic Canon Rebel on the Sports auto setting. I have learned a little more about photography and learned that while my camera isn't great, I have a really steady hand and that helps a lot.
