Here in East Texas, snow is rare. January of 2018 saw the most snowfall in 7 years, so I knew I needed to get some photos, but my wife and I decided to take it a step further with a touch of hypothermia. I took dozens of shots until she bravely suggested a couple sitting and even laying in the snow, clad only in her pretty red summer dress. The contrast of the vivid red directly against the white snow had me instantly captivated and I took as many as possible during the few seconds she was willing to withstand the cold. There were dozens that turned out beautifully, but this was a favorite!
