This image was taken at the beautiful Max Patch, a meadow on the top of a mountain in western North Carolina near the border of Tennessee. It was a cloudy, muggy day, and we got rather hot hiking up to the top. We paused for a bit to relax and take in the views, and then I decide to take some portraits. Not long after this shot a warm summer rain began to fall, and we had to walk back down the path to the car. We got soaked but it was worth it.
