I was trying to find some watercolor brushes/stamps online that I could use for a recent design project when I suddenly had the thought of using some of my cloud pictures instead. The process starts by making them fully black and white and increasing the contrast as much as possible. Then you grab the RGB channel as a selection and use that to mask a color layer into a gigantic watercolor-like brush stroke. This image was part of that process and I just liked the way it looked on its own so much I felt it worth sharing with others 😊
