On this morning my main target was Green Herons but when this lovely Great Blue waded right by searching for food in the gorgeous morning light with a nice reflection I wasn’t about to pass it up. They are still a great bird when you spend time with them. I was hoping to capture it with a big catch since I’ve seen them pull some really large pickeral out of this pond but I was still happy with the portrait. At one point this bird worked its way pretty close to me and since I was set up so low in the water I was actually looking up at it, which is always an interesting perspective.
