white and brown dog figurine

I saw this cidada fall from a tree. One of its broodmates climbed over it as it was molting and both promptly dropped to the sidewalk. I rescued it off the concrete, brought it inside for this photo and set it back on the tree, where it happily continued climbing. Thousands are emerging from the ground in the Maryland area right now, as part of Brood X 2021.
