This cathedral - Bascilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - is located in Syracuse, New York. It was founded in 1892 by a large Polish population but outgrew its original size and was reconstructed in 1907 (the one pictured here). To save money the foundation was built by the parishioners themselves. One of the beautiful stained glass windows depicts Polish Saint Maximilian Kolbe who died at Auschwitz.
