Mrs. Perry D. Slocum Changeable Lotus (This Series are all the same lotus, different days of the bloom and in different light) This lotus begins with a vivid pink bloom with pink and white mottled interior petals similar to carnations. Over the several-day-bloom, the flower softens to pale yellow petals and a rich yellow seed pod. As the bloom dies, the petals flatten down and the once cup-structured bloom becomes beautifully chaotic. After the petals fall off, the seed pod remains on the stem, dries out, and is then often cut for dried flower arrangements
