Probably my favourite photo of my first ever brief trip to New York City. Its so easy to get lost in a high-traffic area, a saturated city such as New York City. Anyone would think, with more people in a city, there is a feeling of belonging or of mutual connectivity, when in fact, it is actually the total opposite, people can feel so lonely surrounded by a bunch of other people. People can feel unwanted, or unsheltered. I titled this piece “Sheltered”, because its beautiful symbol. Its a symbol of vulnerability, and trust. To be seen and noticed by someone, and to be loved. That is shelter.
