Side by side are they, Ying and Yang of friendly beasts, Ride away carefree. These two gorgeous horses, though not the largest of their kind, were nonetheless special since they were the first ones to greet us on our roadtrip around Iceland. From then on I made sure I carried a cube of sugar in my pocket at all times, but Maple and Chocolate seemed kind enough to accept a simple petting and hug. They looke dso perfectly content and at peace in the Icelandic wilderness, manes whipping in the wind, oblivious to the stinging cold. I think the sight of them warmed us a bit too.
