In Australia and New Zealand, the tradition of honouring those who have served or are serving in the military, appeals to nearly all demographics, including across the generations. ANZAC stands for Australia and New Zealand Armed Corps. The ANZAC tradition and legend started primarily with Australian soldiers in the Boer war, and Gallipoli in Turkey, and Australian and New Zealand soldiers fighting side by side since then.
