Driving along the Atlantic Coast, we stumbled across the roof of a building peering out of the sand. Nambia’s coast used to have a number of whaling stations - but when the business was not profitable - the buildings were abandoned and left to rot. In beautiful irony, nature reclaimed the land from where the stations stood. And as I stood on the roof of the building I stared down into the now empty expanse and appreciated the unforgiving nature of the landscape around me.
