Willow Ptarmigan - A member of the grouse family, these snow-white birds grow feathers on their legs and feet. These birds display mottled plumage in summer to remain concealed. They are prey to Arctic fox, larger birds. These birds are 34–36 cm (13–14 in) long (tail 8 cm (3.1 in)) with a wingspan of 54–60 cm (21–24 in)
