Using a Micro CT machine from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT), this up close xray (showing detail down to 50 micron or 0.05mm) of an orchid shows the different densities in the flower, rather than the colors normally seen. The colors added later are known as ‘false colors’ (and usually as ‘photoshopped’ in photography).
