Surprise View, Lake District, Cumbria. The first time I walked here with my parents when I twelve years old. Many times after that when growing up. Now, I can’t walk there again. Only in memory made real by my paintings. I can be there again with my loved ones. This view is so wide and free it makes you feel that your future is always bright and safe. Just above Ullswater shimmering in the sun. Gods country in deed. Visited again and again by many thousands of people across the world. Protected by law, yes, but with a far deeper meaning within the hearts of man.
