The Scarlet Columbine is rarer than the famous Colorado Blue Columbine. These are native to Colorado and have a vibrant red, orange, yellow gradient coloring with a hint of violet. They grow in a downward falling star shape. Scarlet Columbine have been used as a perfume, for medicinal purposes and they are edible. (Note: The seeds can be poisonous.)
