red cabin tent under aurora lights

Camping on the west summit of McHugh Peak a day before winter solstice 2016. The temperatures hovered around -8F but we brought plenty of warm clothing, winter sleeping bags, and hot food. The aurora was faint and struggled to compete with the city lights of Anchorage below us, but it did periodically spray out from behind the nearby mountains. The tent is a Hilleberg Nammatj 2. Chugach State Park, Alaska.
