Passau, Germany has a wonderful Christmas Market where warm gluhwein or hot chocolate will put the heat back into your soul. The small but charming city sits on the Danube river, which flows through 10 countries, more than any other river. The cathedral, with its twin domes, seen in the background, is stunning as are the colors of the surrounding buildings. The misty day mutes the color in a melancholy way. I would have liked more sun, but I took what I was given. I find that I enjoy this perspective on the city. The river is just out of sight below the frame and buildings are tightly packed.
