CAUGHT IN FLIGHT

This was going to be just another architecture picture, but then I noticed the pigeon sitting on the rim of the tower. I quickly composed the shot, focused on the pigeon, and waited… It was probably only for about 5 minutes, but it felt like 45 since it was 20 degrees, the wind was blowing, and I wasn’t wearing any gloves. I can only imagine how stupid I looked aiming my camera at the tower, standing completely still, and not taking any pictures. But it was worth the wait, because sure enough, the pigeon took off and headed in my direction. Potential, patience, and little luck can pay off.
