The main building of the Izhevsk Arms Factory, designed in the style of high classicism, is a unique work of industrial architecture in Russia at the beginning of the 19th century, playing a leading urban planning role in Izhevsk. Construction of the main building of the plant began in 1811 on behalf of mining engineer A.F. Deryabina. The author of the project was a graduate of the Academy of Arts - S.E. Dudin. The Izhevsk Arms Plant became the first multi-story industrial building in Russia.
