We were spending a holiday with the family when everyone in the house went out onto the porch and was staring down the beach. I grabbed my camera and ran out just in time to capture this image. One of the wonderful things about Emerald Isle, NC is that the beach runs more or less east to west (that is to say it is south facing). The means that you get to see both the sunrise and sunset from the same spot!
