An ordinary day in the center of Helsinki. The Stockmann department store is a landmark in Helsinki, built in 1930 as an eight storey shopping center. Nowadays it’s the largest department store in Northern Europe, with shop-in-shop retailers. The actual focus in this picture though is the tram passing the main entrance. The newly introduced modern tram in Helsinki makes an exciting contrast to the old ones, bypassing the old landmark visited by millions of locals and tourists.
